A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

The details,
made clear.

From your first quote to your Stripe account, here’s how the workbench fits into your business.

Who is Quote to Paid for?

Contractors and service businesses, including home services and trades, consultants and agencies, and event and creative services. Other small and medium-sized businesses can use the same workflow. The core workflow brings quotes, service agreements, signatures, and payments together. Bubble Cloud is our first event-services customer example; broader merchant onboarding is being prepared.

Can I sign up and take live payments today?

General signup is not yet open. The current demonstration uses Stripe test payments. Live payment availability requires activation of the 24 Helpful Platform Stripe account and completed Stripe onboarding and approval for each merchant.

Who receives the customer’s money?

Stripe processes the payment and funds go to the merchant’s own Stripe account, subject to Stripe fees, settlement schedules, and account requirements. 24 Helpful provides software and does not receive the payment as the seller of the goods or services.

Does Quote to Paid take a percentage of payments?

No. The business model is a software subscription paid by merchants. 24 Helpful does not charge a platform commission on customer payments. Subscription pricing is to be announced; Stripe fees are separate.

How does a merchant connect Stripe?

Complete Stripe-hosted Connect onboarding for your own Stripe account. Stripe handles verification; payment access depends on approval and platform activation. Before enabling online collection, review automatic customer fees and complete the surcharge compliance steps in our merchant getting-started guide. Online checkout automatically adds the contract’s card-fee percentage or an ACH fee of 0.8% (maximum $5 per payment); offline bank transfers have no workbench-added fee. Bubble Cloud’s current 3.5% card setting exceeds Visa’s 3% cap and needs review before live surcharging. Credit-card surcharges must also stay within actual acceptance costs; debit and prepaid cards cannot be surcharged.

Can customers pay by card or ACH?

The workbench supports card and ACH payment workflows through Stripe when available and enabled. ACH payments may take time to settle or fail after initiation; starting a payment is not the same as confirmed funds.

How does the workbench add processing fees?

When online collection is enabled, the workbench automatically adds a customer processing fee to each deposit or balance payment: card payments use the percentage stated in the service agreement; online ACH adds 0.8%, capped at $5 per payment. The workbench adds no fee for offline bank transfers (a bank may charge its own fees). These customer fees are not a 24 Helpful platform commission.

Where do I set the card fee, and is 3.5% allowed?

The merchant chooses the card rate in Settings → Quote defaults → Card processing fee % (设置 → 报价默认值 → 银行卡手续费 %). The contract and checkout use the same rate. Bubble Cloud’s current setting is 3.5%; this is an existing configuration, not a recommended or compliant rate. It exceeds Visa’s 3% maximum and must be reviewed and adjusted before surcharging Visa credit cards. Changing the default affects new quotes; a previously sent agreement retains its recorded rate.

What must I check before adding a card surcharge?

For US Visa credit cards, a surcharge must not exceed the lower of 3% or the merchant’s actual cost of card acceptance. Stripe’s standard US domestic online card price is approximately 2.9% + $0.30 per successful transaction; actual pricing varies, and that example is not permission to charge a particular rate. Debit and prepaid cards must not be surcharged, even when processed as credit. Before starting, complete required card-network and acquirer notifications; Visa requires at least 30 days’ advance notice to the acquirer. Some states prohibit or further restrict surcharges. Disclose any permitted fee and the total before payment and on the receipt. The merchant chooses the rate and is responsible for compliance; consult a lawyer or Stripe before enabling surcharges. Do not assume the workbench automatically checks card type, costs, notices or state-law eligibility. If you cannot ensure debit/prepaid exclusion and all applicable requirements, do not enable card surcharging. See the merchant guide and official references.

Who handles a refund or payment dispute?

For merchant order or service payments, contact the merchant named on the quote, contract, or receipt. The merchant manages refunds and responds to disputes through Stripe, subject to the service agreement and applicable law. 24 Helpful can address software issues but does not decide the merchant’s refund policy or Stripe’s dispute outcome.

What does AI do?

AI assists with quote preparation, catalog content, and contract drafts. Merchants review and approve content before sending it. Amounts are calculated using defined rules, not AI judgment. AI output can be inaccurate and is not legal advice.

Can I use my own service agreement?

Yes. Merchants can edit their contract templates and adjust terms for an individual quote. Each merchant is responsible for the content, required disclosures, and legal suitability of its agreements.

How do I cancel a software subscription?

Paid subscriptions are not yet available. The proposed policy is to let merchants request cancellation before renewal, with access continuing through the paid period. Final billing, cancellation, and refund terms must be provided before paid enrollment. See the draft Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Your business. Your payments.

You create the experience.
You receive the payment.

24 Helpful is a software platform, not the provider of your goods or services. Merchants connect their own Stripe accounts through Stripe-hosted onboarding.

Stripe processes payments, and funds go to the merchant’s own Stripe account, subject to Stripe’s fees, settlement timing, and account requirements. 24 Helpful takes no percentage of customer payments.
